Tiki at the Tavern

TREASURE MAP MENU DESIGN

Every Tuesday The Arvada Tavern transforms into one the best Tiki Bars around, with over 20 classic tiki cocktails, and tiki food specials. They go all out on decor every week, so we wanted the menu to be just as over-the-top. The back is a treasure map filled with pirates, sea monsters, tiki bars, temples, and all kinds of fun stuff. Many of the names are taken from Arvada Tavern family past and present. The map also helps emphasis a subtle layout element that organizes the cocktails from driest to sweetest, and lightest to booziest.

Vol. 1 - The Treasure Map - 2017

They go all out on decor every week, so we wanted the menu to be just as over-the-top. We ended up with this fun yet functional, fully illustrated treasure map, rolled and printed on canvas vinyl that feels like it could be leather.

THE COCKTAILS..

…are laid on a matrix arranging them from light to strong and dry to sweet, helping guest navigate the ship.

THE MAP…

…is filled with tributes to Tiki History, and that of the Arvada Tavern and Olde Town Arvada. Guests love getting lost in the pirates, sea monsters and haunted isles, which helps keep the pace on island time.
