Second Generation Graphic Designer & Illustrator
My parents worked at a fine-dining steakhouse when I was young, and I spent a lot of my time there. My Dad, being an artist first, did these large beautiful hand drawn menus for special events and private parties. Eventually he transitioned into Graphic Design, taught me Photoshop when I was still in elementary school. Now I am continuing this passion for art, design, service and quality. I have worked in restaurants and cocktail bars for 20 years, and I continue to work closely with the industry that I know and love.
I use my creative skills in combination with my industry experience to help my clients refine their image. I use bold color, illustration and most importantly, beautiful typography to elevate brands and the experiences of their guests. Sometimes this means completely redefining their brand identity, other times it's just some slight tweaking. I do menu design with custom illustrations, photography and out-of-the box printing techniques. I like to get my hands dirty by doing special projects, custom signage, screen printing and die-cut vinyl. I also help with new menu development, cocktail creation and bar staff training. My process usually starts by sitting at the bar, sipping an Old Fashioned and doodling in my notebook; so if you see me, say hi.
